Fremantle’s iconic Kings Square will house Western Australia’s first ecoPOP–a small, free-standing and self-sustaining green urban oasis.

To celebrate, a family picnic will be held on Monday 20 May at Hilton Community Centre followed by another picnic on Tuesday 21 May at The Meeting Place.

Following inspection and compliance with the Verge Beautification Guidelines, mulch can be collected by residents on Saturday 18 or Sunday 19 May. Offer ends Monday 13 May.

South Beach will be one of the parks and beaches to undergo routine weed control during May and June.

The City will be undertaking routine weed control until June 2013 at: Bathers Beach, Booyeembara Park, Cantonment Hill, Leighton Beach, North Fremantle Foreshore Reserves, Samson Park and South Beach.

A 40 km/h limit applies to school zones before and after school hours.

Westgate Mall pedestrian access way partial closure - 06/05/2013
The City is seeking feedback on the proposal to temporarily close the Adelaide Street access leg (being part of lot 2130) of the pedestrian access way (PAW. Reserve no. 38030) in Westgate Mall.

Green light for $1.2m Esplanade Youth Plaza - 03/05/2013
A section of Fremantle’s iconic Esplanade Reserve will soon be home to a $1.2m multi–purpose youth plaza (Esplanade Youth Plaza) following council’s decision to progress with finalising the plaza’s design and following that, commence construction.

Road works will begin down William Street from Tuesday 7 May.
