Dick Lawrence Oval clubroom redevelopment
Following extensive consultation with users of the Dick Lawrence Oval in Hilton, works are well underway to refurbish the exisiting clubroom that will result in a modern facility that will be welcome addition to the local community, particularly for the Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club and the Hilton Park Junior Cricket Club.
This is a key project in the City's 2011-12 budget and and is valued at approximately $640,000.

Week commencing 15 August 2011
Primary building works are complete with the major brick work due to be finished by the end of August. Shelford Constructions have programmed the project to be completed by January 2012 and so far the works are running to schedule.

Week commencing 19 September 2011
Construction of the addition to the club rooms is progressing well. The roof is on and major brickwork is nearing completion. Photo updates below will indicate how much progress has been made in this project over the past 4 weeks.

Week commencing 18 October 2011
The main structure is now complete and retaining walls have been constructed. Windows have been installed and commencement of the internal works is imminent. Overall, works are approximately 60% complete.
The club room refurbishment is now complete. It is now a modern and accessible facility for the future enjoyment of the Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club, Hilton Park Junior Cricket Club, their visitors and community groups using the facility.
