Parking permits and monthly parking tickets
Free parking permits for Fremantle residents
Residents of Fremantle can apply for free parking permit which allows free parking within the Fremantle CBD, Monday to Friday between 9.00-11.00 am and 3.00 pm-1.00 am. All day parking is also available on Saturdays and Sundays in the Point Street Car Park (car park 6). See the conditions of use.
Residential paid parking permits
If you are a resident or a rate payer living in either a time restricted or fee-paying area and do not have adequate off-street parking, you may be eligible for a residential parking permit. Download an application form.
Monthly tickets
Advanced purchase monthly parking tickets are available for use in several City car parks, including Queensgate Car Park (car park no. 9). General purpose monthly tickets covering both street and car parks are also available. Monthly tickets are available from the Queensgate cashier's office located in the Queensgate Car Park. Reserved parking bays
Reservation of parking bays is available for work purposes or special occasions such as weddings or events. Applications can be made to the City of Fremantle, parking services, Town Hall Centre, 8 William St, Fremantle WA 6160 or contact our service and information team on 08 9432 9899.
Motorbike parking
Motorbike bays are located around the City and are free of charge. They may have time restrictions - refer to the displayed signs. Motorbikes are permitted to park in car bays, however applicable parking fees must be paid and stated time limits apply. When purchasing a ticket to park your motorbike in a car bay, we suggest that you retain the tear-off section of the ticket so that proof of purchase can be provided should an infringement be issued due to the ticket having blown away or been removed.
