The Meeting Place

The Meeting Place Community Centre is an adult-education organization dedicated to meeting community needs and enhancing the quality of people's lives through inspirational courses and community activities. We offer short, inexpensive courses on personal growth, business & career opportunities, media, health & healing, spirituality, relationships & technology.

The Meeting Place is privileged to have the support of inspirational and passionate community members who share their expertise in formats ranging from two-hour workshops to seven-week courses. Term programmes and activities are developed in partnership with tutors and reflect what is important and relevant to the Fremantle community. Courses are held in different locations around Fremantle with tutors providing the practical advice & tools people need to change careers, improve their relationships and empower their lives.

The mission of The Meeting Place Community Centre is to provide community education and support to facilitate a sense of identity and belonging to the wider community for the people of Fremantle.

It does this in accordance with the national principals of all neighbourhood houses:
· Everyone is welcome here
· If you want to help out here you can.
· This is a place to learn and share your skills
· We build supportive communities.

The Meeting Place is located in South Fremantle and is on the corner of South Terrace and Jenkin Street. There is plenty of street parking or you can catch the Fremantle Cat bus service. The centre is open from 9-4pm Monday to Friday. We invite you to drop in and collect your copy of the latest programme or check out the community noticeboards and find out what’s happening in your local community.
