Register to be part of the festival

City of Fremantle hosts four festivals every year. Each festival is shaped by artists, community groups, schools, clubs and business. Your ideas and events are crucial in developing the festivals loved by locals and thousands of visitors to our city. You can also be sent monthly information on festivals and arts events in Fremantle by signing up for our Zeitgeist enewsletter here.

In 2013 you can be part of the following festivals:

Street Arts Festival
Saturday 30 March to Monday 1 April 2013
Held in Easter this festival features astonishing physical feats and surprises throughout the streets of Fremantle. Showcasing some of the world’s best street artists it has achieved extremely high levels of public awareness, massive audiences and an ever increasing national and international profile. Heritage Festival
Friday 24 May to Monday 3 June 2013
Celebrates the unique history of Fremantle through architecture, tours, workshops and events.  It includes a local history award for non fiction writers and heritage awards for architects and builders working on homes in the Fremantle area. Registrations for the 2013 Heritage Festival have closed.

Hidden Treasures–Winter Music Series
Thursdays in July 4 / 11 / 18 & 25 2013
Hidden Treasures is Fremantle’s winter music series in July. Last year we turned unexplored venues in High Street into a live music hot spots to celebrate well established artists and explore new musical talent developing in Fremantle. Fremantle Festival
Sunday 27 October to Sunday 10 November 2013

Each November this eclectic festival celebrates arts and the community at their best. Last year over 100 community events were included in the festival as well our key events - Children’s Fiesta, Wardarnji, Norfolk Lanes Youth Festival and the Street Parade. We also provide two venues to the community The Fremantle Town Hall (capacity 500) and the Black Box theatre (capacity 50). Click here to register for the 2013 Fremantle festival.

Fremantle Street Parade
Sunday 10 November 2013
Anybody can create an entry for the street parade but we offer support to schools wishing to develop an entry with an artist. Funding is available of up to $3,000 per entry (conditions apply). The festival parade is open to non motorised floats (electrical powered is ok). Six pushable float bases will be allocated to successful applicants. Click here to register.
