Marketing

The economic development and marketing unit at the City of Fremantle oversee the development and implementation of two marketing plans for Fremantle.

The branding 'find yourself in fremantle' was developed for destination marketing in 2008 and has since been used in several successful print and radio campaigns in metropolitan and regional Western Australia. Six supporting taglines (shopping city, festival city, maritime city, heritage city, entertainment city) were added in late 2010 to further strengthen Fremantle's positioning and target specific lifestyle segments of the destination and CBD markets. These tag lines are now used in all the City's marketing and promotional campaigns and activities.

Destination

The destination marketing plan focuses on facilitating cooperative advertising and promotion of Fremantle's product and brand strengths, using the find yourself in Fremantle' brand and targets the tourism sector.

The destination marketing prospectus focuses on facilitating cooperative advertising and promotion of Fremantle's product and brand strengths, using the 'find yourself in fremantle' brand to tourists. The prospectus describes each of the campaigns that will be implemented from July 2012 to June 2013.

Businesses interested in participating in any of the campaigns recommended in the destination marketing prospectus should complete the booking form found in the prospectus and send it to economic development and marketing.

CBD (retail and professional services)

The CBD (retail and professional services) marketing plan focuses on facilitating cooperative advertising and promotion of Fremantle's product and brand strengths to retail customers, using the 'find yourself in fremantle' brand. The CBD marketing prospectus describes each of the campaigns that will be implemented from July 2013 to June 2014.

Businesses interested in participating in any of the campaigns recommended in the CBD marketing prospectus should complete the booking form and send it to economic development and marketing. An advertising checklist is also available for businesses deciding on campaign participation.

Businesses that would like to discuss any of these opportunities are welcome to contact the economic development and marketing unit by emailing marketing@fremantle.wa.gov.au or phone 08 9432 9999.
