$4m leisure centre upgrade
The leisure centre is set for major upgrades in 2013, including a $3m upgrade to its two pools and the installation of a $1.2m energy-efficient geothermal heating and cogeneration system.
Pool closure–Saturday 1 June 2013
Due to major upgrades, the Fremantle Leisure Centre will close on Saturday 1 June 2013 with a proposed opening date of Wednesday 1 January 2014.
