Health and fitness
We offer a range of health and fitness programs to help you achieve an active and healthy lifestyle at any age.
You can workout in our fully equipped fitness centre with state of the art strength and cardio equipment, or join one of our many group fitness classes, including yoga and aqua fitness.
The fitness centre is staffed by qualified gym instructors, available to conduct fitness assessments and to assist with your fitness program.
All group fitness classes are included in full centre memberships.

Ante natal aqua classes
Keeping fit and active during pregnancy will help you feel energised and strong, prepare your body for labour and promote a quicker recovery.
As part of the group fitness program, Fremantle Leisure Centre offers three different antenatal aqua classes per week each tailored to the specific for the needs and abilities of a pregnant body. Antenatal aqua classes are a great way to maintain and improve your fitness during pregnancy, improve pregnancy posture and relieve back strain, take the pressure off joints and minimise risk of injury. It’s also a great way to network with other pregnant women in the community.
Tuesdays 11.00 am–12.00 pm (50m pool)
A combination deepwater and chest deep class that focuses on improving aerobic fitness, muscular conditioning and core strength.
Wednesdays 5.30–6.45pm (program pool)
A toning and relaxation pregnancy class focusing on fitness maintenance, upper and lower body toning with emphasis on relaxation.
Thursdays 6.00–7.00 pm (25m pool)
A shallow water running class that focuses on improving fitness, muscular conditioning and flexibility.
Registration is not required. The cost is $10.50 per class or $94.50 per 10 visit pass.
It is recommended that participants wear supportive swimwear, bring a towel, water bottle, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen if required.
Fit beyond 50
Specifically designed exercise programs for over 55s. Programs include:
- Ezymoves - a gentle group fitness class emphasising balance, strength and flexibility.
- Qigong - a traditional Chinese exercise regime combining breathing, mind focus and posture.
- Aqua ROM - gentle aquatic exercise designed to ease joint pain and improve mobility.

Personal training
Our personal trainers will provide your fitness regime with structure, motivation, commitment and progression. Working with a personal trainer can help you stay motivated, achieve results, and monitor your progress.
Our personal trainers will:
- set, assess and help you achieve your goals
- make your workouts more time efficient
- provide challenges to train you harder than you would yourself
- motivate and guide you.
Our personal training team can provide a variety of workouts suitable for all fitness levels. You can work out one-on-one with your trainer or share the session and train two-on-one together with a friend.
