Baby swim programs
Aquababy program (4 months-3 years)
This parent and infant program has been developed over many years by leaders in the industry. Your child will learn some of the following swimming and water safety skills:
- safe entries and exits
- water familiarisation
- reaching to safety
- holding and supporting own body weight
- floating
- turning to the pool edge
- climbing to safety
- submerging
- propulsion through the water.
Children must be enrolled according to their age on the date of the first lesson of the term. The swimming and safety skills we facilitate are not assessed on age, as infants learn when they are ready. Our groups are structured to allow children to physically and cognitively perform similar skills. Groups are small with a maximum of six in the aqua baby classes, and a maximum of four in the aqua fish classes.

Classes cater for those advanced swimmers who have not turned 3 years, but may be ready to be taught more advanced skills. If your child is 2 years 9 months or older, they will need to be assessed by the swim school coordinator, before being placed in an aqua fish class.
Our classes are 30 minutes in duration with the exception of Aqua baby 1, which is 20 minutes.
