Adding more fun to playtime
FREMANTLE’S popular Esplanade Park playground on Marine Terrace is in the process of being expanded and upgraded.
Work is currently underway to relocate a floodlight and reticulation before new play equipment and an overhead Space Net can be installed during the next few weeks.
As works will include a survey and carrying out some minor excavations, some parts of the existing playground will need to be fenced off during works to ensure public safety.
New play equipment will include two double swing sets, a raft springer in the design of a shark to fit the parks marine theme and climbing equipment specifically designed to be used by toddlers upwards.
Work on the playground is expected to be completed by late August weather permitting.
