Heart Foundation Walking

Heart Foundation Walking is Australia’s largest network of free community based walking groups managed nationwide by the Heart Foundation. The City of Fremantle is an area coordinator for the program and are always looking for new walkers to join existing groups and enthusiastic people to start and lead their own group. Walking in groups is an excellent way to get the 30 minutes of physical activity recommended each day. As a low impact activity it is perfect for all levels of fitness including those recovering from injury or illness or for those just starting to be physically active. Best of all it costs nothing and can be done anywhere and at anytime! For a list of current walking groups please see the link below and for further information see the Heart Foundation Walking website  or phone 1300 36 27 87  or contact the Physical Activity Projects Officer for the City of Fremantle Aaron Kalz  on 9432 9957.
