Visiting Fremantle
The City of Fremantle purchased Fremantle Visitor Centre from private owners on Friday 24 June 2011. The purchase created a close link between the Fremantle Visitor Centre and the City of Fremantle’s destination marketing role, providing a significant benefit to Fremantle’s tourism operators.
The Fremantle Volunteer Guides have been integrated into the operation of the centre, enabling the opening hours to increase on weekends and enabling the centre to open on public holidays.
Since the City’s purchase a number of projects to improve the appearance and operation of the centre have been completed including new brochure racking, window display advertising, digital television screen advertising and an afterhours key collection box.
