20 Lives 20 Homes

As a local government, our mission is to prioritise the needs of community members across all socio-economic scales. we understand the importance of supporting vulnerable community members.

The City continues to support the 20 Lives 20 Homes Freo program (2019).

A program collaborates with several community service organizations to achieve a holistic pathway that has significantly improved livelihoods to end rough sleeping and chronic homelessness in the community.

20 Lives 20 Homes Freo has been built on the foundation of 50 lives 50 homes. A program that works to support Perth’s most vulnerable, housing more than 147 rough sleepers in Perth over 3 years.

Based on the success of this model, 20 Lives 20 Homes Freo was funded by the state government in partnership with the city of Fremantle, as well as the private sector, raising 1 million from a small number of individuals with Fremantle connections.

Various community organizations provide wraparound services with outreach and intensive assistance delivered by St Patricks Community Support Centre and after-hours by Ruah Community Services.
