Group Fitness Classes

Group exercise classes are a complete workout in less than 60 minutes! Motivating music, encouragement from the instructor and  the energy from other participants makes the whole experience exhilarating. It's a great social activity and stress-reliever. Our professionally trained instructors welcome new faces and no matter what your fitness level or age, you will experience an enjoyable, safe and effective workout.

Centre membership includes access to all group fitness classes. Casual visits are available.

All aqua classes are restricted to 25 participants due to safety considerations, space and equipment limitations. 

  • allow adequate time prior to classes commencing to obtain an entry receipt
  • latecomers will not be permitted to the class once it is in progress 
  • it is recommended that aquafit participants wear good supportive swimwear 
  • wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a rashie 
  • bring a towel and unbreakable water bottle
  • classes have number restrictions due to space and equipment limitations. Please arrive early and ensure your place in class by booking in at the group fitness kiosk.

Class descriptions

A variety of classes and styles are offered as par tof our group fitness program. These include:

Boxfit

Stimulate every part of your body with boxing, kicking and resistance work. Boxing gloves and focus mitts are used.

Pilates Plus

A fusion of Pilates principles and bodywork training techniques that develop mobility & stability and strength & flexibility.

Circuit

Participants move from station to station performing various exercises to challenge cardio and strength.

Power Step

Functional and athletic! Improve your cardio, strength, balance, and agility combining movement patterns on the step and floor.

Power Pump

A weight training class emphasising proper technique and form. Develop a strong and lean body using easily adjustable barbells.

Cardio Tone

A low impact cardio workout incorporating sculpting exercises to tone the major muscles of the body.

Tai Chi

Explore the many health benefits of this practice including improved circulation, balance, strength, digestion and breathing while leaving you feeling calm and relaxed.

Yoga

Hatha Yoga style yoga improves flexibility, tones muscles and relaxes the mind and body through various poses and breathing techniques.

Pilates

Focusing on core postural muscles keeping the body balanced, supple and strong.

Rebound

Bounce your way to health and fitness.  A fun, low impact cardio workout with emphasis on core stability and muscle endurance on mini trampolines.

Zumba

This Latin inspired, easy to follow, calorie burning, feel it to the core fitness party.

HIIT

HIIT training accelerates metabolism by challenging fitness levels so that greater fitness results can be achieved. A mixture of cardio and/or weight training exercises are done in 30 second intervals with short breaks in between to maintain heart rate and keep burning calorie's at an accelerated level during and after the class. 

Fitball

Strength and balance training with a fitball results in a stronger core which improves overall posture and leads to better body alignment.

Stretch n Strength

Emphasis is put on core strength while challenging your entire body to keep strong, long and supple.

POWERSTEP30

Functional and athletic! Improve your cardio, strength, balance, and agility combining movement patterns on the step and floor.

Aquafit Shallow 

This class is conducted in chest deep water performing anchored, bounce, propulsion and suspended movements. Water dumbbells and aqua noodles may be used. 

Aquafit Deep 

This class is conducted in deep water with suspended exercises and drills such as cycling, skiing, running movements are performed. Buoyancy belts are available. 

Fit Beyond 50 classes

Fit Beyond 50 offers  a variety of exercise programs for adults 55+ years in a group setting that is both social and fun.  All classes are lead by qualified instructors and focus on developing overall strength, balance, joint mobility and flexibility.

Aqua ROM

Conducted in the program pool, this class is especially suited for those with conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and joint injuries. Balance and core stability are challenged while developing a range of motion. Equipment is used to gradually increase resistance.

Zumba Gold

Zumba moves designed with the active older adult and beginner in mind.

Ezymoves

A fitness workout especially for older adults to develop strength and improve balance.
