Holiday Program

As part of the City's celebration of youth culture, we host free workshops every school holidays at different locations around Fremantle, including at the EYP. Workshops are free with age and residential restrictions at times. Please check before signing up!

The City is pleased to announce our Adulting 101 series of Youth Talks. These will be run during the school holidays aimed at older young people 15 to 25 years. These talks will help assist you with knowledge and information on a range of topics as you step into adult life. Some will be hands on, some Q & A, some with interactive role plays and you’ll leave all of them with more insight than you started with.

If workshops get full, priority will be given to young people who live, attend school or work in the Fremantle area.

Art workshops

Project Backboard

Project Backboard is a US based project that uses art to splash colour all over basketball courts. Many areas have small outdoor basketball courts that would be more attractive with a brighter outlook in the neighbourhood.  This project will be painting 5 backboards from 3 locations in Fremantle.  Two each from Grigg Park and Dick Lawrence in Hilton and one in Samson Park.  This program will prioritise young people that live locally in these suburbs.   This is a multi date program as day one is for design and practice and day two is for painting the boards.  Young people must be available for both dates.  The painting day in the second week may be spilt into a morning and afternoon painting shift.   If young people have a design idea, after they register they can email it to: info@fremantle.wa.gov.au and attention it to the youth officer.
