Marija Vujcic brings extensive knowledge and experience in major resource project management. She has worked as a Human Resource/Industrial Relations Manager for VDM Construction, CB&I Constructors and as a Principal Employee Relations Consultant with Australian Mines and Metals Association (AMMA). Marija’s resource project experience extends but is not limited to Wheatstone, Gorgon, Christmas Creek, Sino Iron, Yandi, and the new Perth Stadium. Marija worked for EnergeezHR, an employee relations consultancy she established in 2011 till 2017. She continues to work for small to medium sized businesses providing a human resource service.
Marija has worked with traditional owners and has been responsible for the cultural awareness participation of project personnel. She has mentored business development for several Thalanyji businesses, and that support is ongoing. Her work with TOs extends to the tendering process through to the implementation of: Indigenous Employment, Indigenous Business Development and Local Community Engagement.
Marija is aiming for a continuous improvement of transparency around the finances and business decisions and management of assets, with a genuine community consultation that aims 50% of ratepayers and residents. She is also an advocate for the cost-effective provision of basic services as a priority, and appropriate maintenance of our heritage assets.
Marija loves Freo for its heritage, diversity, location, our ocean and river and Freo’s strong community roots.
