Local planning policies (LPPs) are adopted by Council under the City's Local Planning Scheme No. 4. They can relate to a number of town planning matters within the City including procedures, land uses, and local area design guidelines.

Planning and Development Regulations 2015 - Exemptions

In addition to the City's Local Planning Policy 1.7, certain types of development are exempt from requiring development (planning) approval under State Government regulation. Please refer to the following extract from the Planning & Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 for a list of the exempted works and uses which come into effect on Monday 15 February 2021:
