Photo: Volunteers from N2N call out for a gardening blitz.

One drizzly Saturday morning in July, a team of N2N volunteers donned gloves and gardening gear to assist a local resident with gardening blitz.   The resident has fulltime carer responsibilities and the garden was getting rather neglected and overwhelming.  

Led by Rob Fittock, a previous elected member the crew all pitched in and tackled a large sections of grass to pull up, pruned bushes and did a general clean up to get the once daunting job to a manageable state. 

Neighbours shared their green FOGO bins to help remove the green waste and it was the talk of the neighbourhood.
