High Street resurfacing
The City of Fremantle will be undertaking road resurfacing works on High St, from Parry St to East St as part of this year’s infrastructure improvement program.
These works are expected to take place from 16 September to 4 October, weather permitting. Sections of High St will be CLOSED for nightworks intermittently during this time, from 8pm–5am. Delays are expected for additional works during the day from 7am–7pm on 30 September to 4 October, although the road will remain open. Residents are encouraged to avoid the area during the hours of works.
Variable message boards will be deployed to notify road users prior to the date of closure. Footpath and vehicle access may be closed off in and around High St during these works.
The City has arranged traffic management contractors to limit traffic delays and will implement the necessary traffic control personnel to manage traffic movements in and around the works. Where applicable, alternative access ways will be provided by the City
Please be advised that parking is not permitted on High St during the hours of works, to allow access to machinery and equipment. We kindly request that you relocate any vehicles on working days and nights.
Thank you for your co-operation whilst we complete these important works.
