LibraryCraft
The City of Fremantle has partnered with a number of local governments including the City of Canning, City of South Perth, and many more to create LibraryCraft, a Minecraft server with multiple worlds for WA players aged between 7–17 years old. This creative world will keep young people busy and their minds active, with exciting challenges and monthly competitions to win. To join, simply fill in the form online.
Better Beginnings
Better Beginnings supports parents in reading to children, helping them to develop necessary literacy skills to become good readers and succeed at school. Collect a Better Beginnings parent toolkit with a beautiful board book for your baby from your child health nurse or from the Library. Visit Better Beginnings for more information.
Storytime and Rhymetime
Join us for Storytime on Thursdays during school term at 9.30am designed for 2–5-year olds to promote and encourage early literacy.
Rhymetime runs on Tuesdays 9.30am during school term, for children up to 2 years of age with their parents.
Meet new friends and enjoy fantastical tales and uproarious rhymes together at the library.
Buster
Buster is a free, multi-sensory, hands-on, active and child-centred program that offers creative and fun opportunities for families to learn and play together, for ages 0-5.
Buster runs during school term on Wednesdays and Fridays - check the Buster page for locations and times as well as our Facebook page for last minute changes.
Fremantle Toy Library
Choose from over 1900 toys, games, costumes, puzzles and ride ons at Fremantle Toy Library. Membership is open to families, playgroups, parent groups and centres.

Kanopy Kids

Busy Things provides educational games and activities for ages 3-11, learning skills in language, math, art, music and more.
Transparent Language Online
Through your Fremantle Library membership Transparent Language Online provides access to resources to learn over a hundred languages.
Young adult collection
We have a section dedicated to Young Adult fiction, alongside graphic novels and manga. Send us your requests for the collection.
CoderDojo
Young people who use code to develop apps, games and websites are invited to bring their own inspiration, ideas and knowledge into the Dojo. Develop your skills in Scratch and much more! Mentors are on hand to help learn new skills and solve problems. Bookings are essential - there is currently a waitlist but you can join at any time if there are vacancies.
