(13/1/17) How to do a bicycle hook turn
Did you know the majority of bicycle-car collisions occur at intersections as bicycles attempt to merge into traffic while turning right? The safest way to turn right at a busy intersection while traffic is flowing both ways is to use the bicycle ‘hook turn’.
The turn simply involves you fast turning left instead of right, waiting in the perpendicular lane and then going once the traffic light turns green.
