(14/8/2017) Site of North Fremantle wall collapse secured
Read the latest update (from Tuesday 15 August 2017).

City of Fremantle staff, working alongside DFES, have secured the site of a wall collapse which occurred at Matilda Bay Brewery in North Fremantle earlier today (Monday 14 August 2017).

Sadly, the collapse resulted in injuries to a woman in a parked car below.

Safety measures include perimeter fencing and a partial road closure of Coventry Parade.  It’s expected these measures will be in place until structural engineers can assess the site and works are undertaken to reinforce the building’s façade.

The private owners of the building will be issued with a building order which must be satisfied before the building can be used again.

Pedestrians and motorists are encouraged to avoid any non-essential travel to the area until further notice.
