Grab your gardening gloves and head along to a community planting day this winter!
Community planting days are a fun and interesting way to get out and meet new people in your area, while also learning about native flora and fauna conservation.
Samson Park Community Planting Day
2 August, 10am-12pm
Join Friends of Samson Park, SERCUL and the City of Fremantle for the Samson Park Community Planting Day.
A range of native species will be planted adjacent to the turfed parkland, which has recently been enclosed by fencing.
Head along for 10am and meet at the noticeboards along Sellinger Ave, Samson.
Please wear enclosed shoes, BYO water bottle, gardening gloves and a trowel (if you have one).
All ages are welcome and hot drinks and morning tea will be provided.
Leighton Beach Community Planting Day
8 August, 9am-12pm
Join Friends of Fremantle Beach, Perth NRM and the City of Fremantle for a coastal planting session at Leighton Beach in North Fremantle.
We'll be meeting beachside of the Fremantle Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse at 8:45am for a 9am start.
Bring a water bottle, hat, enclosed shoes and gardening gloves if you have them! Spare gloves will be provided on the day for anyone that needs them.
All ages are welcome and water and morning tea will be provided.
