The City of Fremantle’s much-loved Hidden Treasures music festival will return to Fremantle’s historic West End in September.

Now in its 10th year, Hidden Treasures will feature some of WA’s best musical talents peforming at intimate venues across the West End every Thursday night.

Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt said the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Western Australia had allowed the City to go ahead with Hidden Treasures and celebrate the return of live music.

“For many of us live music is one of the things we’ve missed the most throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mayor Pettitt said.

“Over its 10-year history Hidden Treasures has traditionally been held in winter, but we know it’s an important time to support musicians and local businesses so we’ve decided to surprise everyone and hold it in September for the first time.

“We’re lucky in WA to be in a position where COVID-19 restrictions are easing and we can start to enjoy parts of normal life again, but we all need to remain vigilant with our physical distancing and personal hygiene so we can continue to enjoy great events like Hidden Treasures.”

Hidden Treasures will bring together 50 musicians across four nights of epic live music performances at five venues in Fremantle’s West End.

The line-up features several WAM Song of the Year nominees, including exciting up-and-coming artist Siobhan Cotchin, Fremantle favourites Dilip and the Davs, singer-songwriter Adrian Dzvuke and alternative rock band Phoneline Valentine.

Venues throwing opening their doors include The National, The Buffalo Club, The Navy Club, PS Art Space and the highly-popular Fremantle Tram. Fremantle’s favourite dance party Clubb Medd will host the closing party at PS Art Space.

Set times will be staggered so live music lovers can enjoy a meal at one of Fremantle’s many cafes or restaurants to start the night before working their way down High Street.
