Superheroes descend on Freo these school holidays
From Batman to Spider-Man and Wonder Woman, superheroes of all kinds will descend on Fremantle these school holidays.
The Superhero Secret Mission Trail is back by popular demand and will test the skills of heroes, big and small, with inflatable obstacles dotted around the city.
The trail opens in the second week of the school holidays (2-6 October), from 11.30am to 4pm daily, with bonus activities at the Fremantle Markets on the Friday and Fishing Boat Harbour throughout the week.
Bookings for this free activity are essential. Trail maps can be collected from the Fremantle Visitor Centre and Twin Fin at Fishing Boat Harbour upon presentation of a ticket.
Using the map, families can follow the trail through the streets of Fremantle to discover six adventure-themed inflatables and more superhero fun.
Destinations include Fishing Boat Harbour, Walyalup Koort, Old Courthouse and Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle, where there will be separate inflatables for 2-6 years and 7-16 years.
A highlight of the trail will include a never-before seen gigantic inflatable maze at Walyalup Koort.
Kids and their parents are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superhero. Plus, solve the secret codewords at each location for a chance to win some great prizes.
City of Fremantle Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge said the Superhero Trail was just one of the many things to see and do in Fremantle these school holidays, starting with the America’s Cup 40th anniversary celebrations on the King’s Birthday long weekend.
“We had a great response the first time we ran the Superhero Trail in 2020, so we’re bringing it back this year and are expecting more than 10,000 people to come to Fremantle for the experience,” Mayor Fitzhardinge said.
