Each year, the City's budget process allocates funds for a range of projects to construct, upgrade or maintain the infrastructure within the council area (infrastructure projects). The City also undertakes what can be considered major projects, which are projects of major significance in terms of financial and/or community benefits. The third category is One Planet (sustainability) projects given the City's strong focus on sustainability.
