Four new solar lights have been installed at South Beach car park as part of the 2022–23 program of works. 

The lights use motion sensors and operate at 40 per cent until movement is detected. 

Solar lighting was chosen for this location due to the high costs of underground cabling required between the poles and the power supply. 

The solar panels are also located on the sides of the poles to help avoid any damage to the train line in the event of a storm.
