
Get to know your neighbours and boost community spirit by hosting a street party!
The City is making it as easy as possible for you to organise an event on your street safely, allowing you to focus on the fun things: meeting new people, getting to know your neighbours and celebrating your community.
The City will cover a street party's road closure, and public liability insurance costs for a four hour event. If your party is expected to go over four hours, please reach to our team via the contact details below before submitting an application.
Applying for a Street Party Permit

- Complete a street party application form.
Your application form will provide us with a better understanding of your street party and will help us to work towards locking in your date and getting you an event approval from the City.
Note: if you would like to apply to hold a street party, we need to have your application form at least eight weeks prior to the event.
