Verge Valet™ has arrived
Fremantle residents can now pre-book their bulk waste verge collection with Verge Valet™.
The new service offers more flexibility for residents, convenient booking times and improved resource recovery. Residents within the City’s CBD will receive the service too.
Residents are eligible for one free collection each financial year. Plus, we've expanded the free drop-off passes at Fremantle Recycling Centre from four to six each year!
Before booking a collection, check to see if you can give your items a second life by listing them on Facebook Buy Nothing groups, online selling sites like Gumtree, Garage Sale It and Facebook Marketplace or donating them to charity.
The Fremantle Recycling Centre's Reuse Shop also accepts good-quality donations. By doing this, you'll help to keep more items out of landfill.

Verge Valet™ info sessions
Saturday 23 September, 10–11.30am | Old Fremantle Visitor Centre, Walyalup Civic Centre
Drop by the old Fremantle Visitor Centre to learn more about the new Verge Valet™ model. There will be an example bulk waste verge pile set up to highlight how to use the new system correctly, including what materials are accepted, what's not and why, and how to correctly lay your bulk waste out.
City officers will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the new system.
