HOME SAFETY and REMOVING HAZARDS | for over 55s
Multiple sessions | Mar 24, Apr 16, May 13, May 22
A local occupational therapist will provide you with personalised advice and practical solutions around home safety. This is your opportunity to increase your awareness of potential hazards around your home and how to remove them. Each attendee will also be provided with a take home pack of free resources including a safety checklist audit, and items such as non-slip mats, sensor lights, and contrast-tape.
Falls Prevention is crucial for people 55+. Gain confidence to reduce your falls risk and learn practical strategies to help yourself or others. There will be a self-assessment test and time for questions from highly qualified presenters - physiotherapist Rushil Shah and occupational therapist Carleen Ginter from Next Wave Therapy.
