27 October
Wellbeing Zone – Information Session for Parents and Carers

Learn strategies to build your teen’s resilience and create wellbeing habits for life.

Presented by Conchi Chamizo and Olivia Samec, creators of The Wellbeing Zone and winners of the Western Australian Mental Health Award for Prevention and Promotion in 2020. This award recognised the broad reach of their wellbeing resources from schools to Indigenous mental health, to child protection.

The expectations on parents can be overwhelming in a complex world with ever increasing mental health issues in youth, such as anxiety and depression.

As experienced educators Conchi and Olivia created the Wellbeing Zone resources to bridge the wealth of research on positive psychology into simple user friendly strategies.

This presentation will provide parents with an understanding of;

  • The plasticity of the brain
  • Resilience
  • Mindfulness

These wellness programs for teenagers and kids are based on the latest research about the power of the brain to create new habits. User-friendly, informative, interactive journals that develop positive habits for life.

  • Wednesday 27 October 2021
  • 6pm to 7.30pm
  • The Meeting Place Community Centre, 245 South Terrace, South Fremantle WA 6162
