Wide Angle Film Festival: Children's Program

Join us to celebrate diversity during October as we are proud to present, in partnership with WA Museum, the Wide Angle Film Festival. The Festival offers quality Australian and international short films reflecting the lived experience of people with disability. The Children’s Program features films made by young filmmakers aged 12 and under, and all films are by, or have contributions from, children with disability. Wide Angle Film Festival's Children's Program is aimed at children aged from 5 to 12 years, however young people and adults will also enjoy it.

About the Festival

Wide Angle Film Festival began life in 2008 as Access All Areas Film Festival (AAAFF), a NSW based festival of Australian short films with audio description and open captions screening in accessible venues. In 2016 the management of AAAFF was passed to The Bardic Studio. The Festival now programs international award winning short films reflecting the lived experience of people with disability. The access has been increased to include access for people with autism and other sensory disability (2016) access for people with epilepsy (2017) and access for people living with anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (2018). Further access is being developed for 2019.
