Did you know dumping waste on public grounds (or on your verge outside of collection dates) is illegal and you may receive a fine of up to $10,000.

The image to the right of screen is a recent photo of a pile of wheels and tyres illegally dumped on Roper Street, O’Connor. It’s a fire and safety hazard for people and wildlife, makes the area look untidy and costs money to remove and recycle.

We’re working with the police to identify vehicles or individuals but let our Community Safety team know if you have any info (or any tip offs for other illegal dumping) to 1300 360 666 or info@fremantle.wa.gov.au.

You can also report illegal dumping The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s Pollution Watch Hotline on 1300 784 782 or email pollutionwatch@dwer.wa.gov.au or CrimestoppersWA. Visit the Department’s website for more info.
