Inflatable

Visit the Fremantle Leisure Centre’s Facebook page for time the inflatable will be running during the school holidays (October and January Holidays).

Admission to the inflatable  is an additional charge on top of the standard entry fee.

Participants must be able to swim 15m unaided in the deep end of the pool to use the inflatable.

Undercover 25 metre pool

The undercover 25 metre pool has eight lanes and is heated between 28 and 29 degrees. Ranging from 1.05 to 1.1 metres in depth, the 25 metre pool is fitted with wheelchair ramp access making it accessible to people of all abilities. This pool caters to Swim School, recreational and lap swimmers, aqua aerobics classes, as well as local swimming clubs and squads.

Leisure playground pool

The leisure playground pool is heated to 29 degrees and ranges from 0 to 1.1 metres in depth. This pool is ideal for families with young children. There are water features, spray canons along with a spa area and whirlpool.

Outdoor 50 metre pool

The outdoor 50 metre pool is an eight lane, Olympic-size pool with wheelchair ramp access. The pool has both a shallow and deep end ranging from 1.05 to 1.8 metres in depth and is available for year-round swimming heated between 27 and 28 degrees. This pool caters to Swim School, recreational and lap swimmers, aqua aerobics classes, as well as local swimming clubs and squads.

Program/hydro pool

The program pool is suitable for people who require warmer temperatures heated between 32 and 34 degrees. With a depth of 1.2 metres, it is ideal for families with young children and rehabilitation. This pool caters to Swim School and for therapeutic purposes. A hoist is available to patrons who require assistance.

Swim shop

Located at the main entrance of the centre our swim shop has a great range of swimwear and accessories. Our range caters for sizes 0–26, includes brands such as Speedo, Zoggs, Mirage, Funkita and more.

Full Access and Aquatic members and students enrolled in our swim programs are entitled to 20% discount off all full priced items.

Pool and change room accessibility

The 25m, 50m and leisure pools are equipped with wheelchair access ramps and pool ladders. We also have junior and senior aquatic (waterproof) wheelchairs that may be used at any time.

All pools can also be accessed with a chairlift hoist if required (please advise in advance or allow time for set up if you require this service).

The centre has three inclusive change rooms, one of which is equipped with a battery-operated hoist/sling to assist in showering and changing. Duty managers and lifeguards are always available for assistance if needed.

The Fremantle Leisure Centre provides ACROD, bus and general parking to the public. Off-street car park 14 is allocated specifically for leisure centre patrons and offers the following options:

  • Pay parking: Non-members are required to pay for parking. There are three conveniently located parking meters in carpark 14 and two street meters for those parking on Shuffrey Street. Reimbursements are available for carpark 14 up to the value of your entry. Please present to reception with the COPY side of your parking stub. Reimbursements cannot exceed the cost of admission.
  • Parking permits: Permits are available to all centre members, multi visit holders and swim school families. Permits are issued by our reception team and valid for the duration of your membership or visit pass. Permits are only valid in carpark 14.
  • Parking on Shuffrey Street–parking must be paid for between 8am and 6pm seven days a week and is free at all other times.

If carpark 14 is full permit holders can park in carpark 12B at Beach Street. There is also free parking available on Quarry Street, Finnerty Street and Ord Street.

For the health and safety of employees and patrons, the following conditions of entry must be adhered to prior to entry:

  • Staff will be onsite during all opening hours to assist users, please follow the direction of staff at all times. Staff retain the right to refuse entry for anyone who does not comply with the above conditions of entry.
  • No towel, no entry.
  • Please do not attend the facility if you are unwell.

Fremantle Leisure Centre endorses Watch Around Water policies to ensure the safety of young children.

  • Children 5 years and under
    • Must wear a ‘Watch Around Water’ wristband at all times.
    • Must be accompanied by a supervising adult (16 years or older) in the water within arms length, at all times. A ratio of 1 adult to 4 under age 5 children is required for safe supervision.
    • Children who are still wearing nappies are required to wear an aqua nappy while swimming to the 5 years and under section.
  • Children aged 5 to 10 years
    • Are not permitted into the centre without the supervision of an adult.
    • Adults responsible for children under 10 must have a clear view of the child at all times with no physical or structural barriers between them and the child while in the aquatics area.
    • For groups using the facilities, a ratio of one adult to 10 children is required for safe supervision.
    • Unsupervised children will be removed from the water and placed in a safe area until collected by the parent/guardian.
    • A parent/guardian is regarded as a responsible individual aged over 17.
  • Children under the age of 17 years are not permitted in the centre during school hours unless there is a pupil free day.
