Welcome to the Creative Cohort

If you’re a creative, a cheer leader for creatives or just creative-curious, you’re in the right place.

The Creative Cohort is a City of Fremantle initiative designed to connect and strengthen the creative community, with a focus on Walyalup Fremantle.

We deliver events, resources and support that are free or low-cost to keep things accessible.

The Creative Cohort is shaped by feedback from the local creative community and aims to help you:

  • Strengthen your creative practice

  • Feel supported, seen and celebrated in Walyalup Fremantle

What’s included?

This page is your central hub for all Creative Cohort updates, events and resources. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll find:

    A mailing list to keep you updated on creative opportunities, events and community news.

Creative Cohort – Boost

A curated series of workshops, panels and events designed to build your skills and knowledge.
Most are free or just $20 (including booking fee).

Attend any paid Boost event in 2025 and receive a $15 FOUND gift voucher when you arrive.

Creative Cohort – Hubs

Being an artist can feel isolating, especially when you’re working solo. Hubs are here to change that.

The Hubs bring together small groups of artists to meet regularly, support each other, stay accountable and celebrate progress together.

Pilot Program: Jewellery Artist Hubs

We’re kicking things off with a pilot program for jewellery artists, running until the end of 2025. If it’s a success, we’ll look to expand it to other (or all) art forms.

Creative Cohort – Connect

Meet and mingle with other creatives in Walyalup Fremantle.

Connect events are informal catch-ups hosted by the City of Fremantle, scheduled on an ad-hoc basis and shared here and through the Creative Cohort Thread mailing list.
