Add to calendar Register The City of Fremantle and Centre for Stories are proud to announce the return of the Backyard Truth-Telling Series, a multi-site storytelling program bringing powerful and important place-based truth-telling into the backyards of Walyalup/Fremantle. We are pleased to announce our third backyard event will be hosted at Randwick Stables. Backyard Truth-Telling showcases emerging and established Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian storytellers, sharing their lived experiences in their own voices and on their own terms. Across three weekends in May, audiences are invited into intimate backyard settings in and around Walyalup/Fremantle to listen to stories that speak to the resilience and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, confront difficult truths and hidden histories, and reimagine possible futures. Auslan Interpreter We are pleased to announce that the event will feature Auslan interpretation to ensure accessibility for all attendees.
