Murals in Fremantle

Mural tour

For a self-guided tour of some of Walyalup | Fremantle’s most loved murals, don a hat, pack some water and take to the streets with this map. Remember to keep your eyes open for more, as this map includes only a sample of what can be found across the City. You can also pick up a hardcopy of this map from the Visitor Centre - 155 High Street, Walyalup Koort.

New murals

The City of Fremantle loves to see new murals throughout our public spaces. Not all new murals require approval, however there are some special circumstances when it is necessary to seek advice and permissions, such as when you wish to create a mural in a heritage zone, or on a heritage-listed or City-owned building. We can easily advise what steps you may need to take, so please contact planning@fremantle.wa.gov.au to discuss your proposal and to check the required application and approvals process before you begin to paint.
