The Meeting Place

The Meeting Place Community Centre is a South Fremantle icon and is at the heart of the bustling and lively café and dining strip on South Terrace.

There are multiple spaces for hire in The Meeting Place that are suitable for community groups, classes, clubs, and playgroups find the space comfortable and versatile. It is available for ongoing bookings as well as one-off sessions. The space includes access to a full shared kitchen and disabled access bathroom facilities.

Opening hours

The Meeting Place is open to the public during the staffed office hours listed below:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm

• Weekends and public holidays: Closed

The Meeting Place spaces are available for hire seven days a week, from 6:00am to 10:00pm.

If you wish to hire a space outside office hours, you will need to collect an access key from the office at least 24 hours before your booking.

Please note: Last-minute after-hours bookings cannot be accommodated if the access key has not been collected.

Getting here: Catch the 532 bus in Fremantle and hop off at South Terrace After Charles Street

Parking: There is street parking on all surrounding roads and limited off-street parking on Jenkin Street. Please check the signs for time restrictions.

ACROD parking: 1 spot on Jenkin Street beside the Meeting Place and 1 spot beside the Copper Chimney restaurant on Jenkin Street across the road from the centre.
