City of Fremantle
Coastal Charm
The City of Fremantle offers opportunities for the community and school groups to learn about waste-related topics including what to place in bins, what happens to waste, other services like Fremantle Containers for Change or learning a waste minimisation skill.
Students or youth of the City of Fremantle are invited to design an artwork that conveys litter messaging.
The competition closes on 20 May 2025, after which 15 artworks will be selected to be displayed on public bin infrastructure at the end of May.
A prize pool of $1000, including a major prize of $500 worth of items. Selected artworks will receive their artwork in print, and two bin stickers for their schools or home bins.
Enter via this online form, including a scan or digital copy of the artwork. Further Information.
The below artwork was designed by Fremantle student, Ruby, and has been sharing litter messaging on pubic bin infrastructure in the Fremantle CBD since 2023. The name of her artwork “Litter Free-mantel” inspired the name of this competition.
This competition has been made possible by the Keep Australia Beautiful Community Litter Grant.
