Join Fremantle’s effort to reduce single use plastic waste and protect the places we love.

Take the Plastic Free Pledge this July and join Fremantle’s effort to reduce single use plastic waste and protect the places we love.

As a proud Plastic Free July Council Member, the City of Fremantle is encouraging our community to take part in this global movement, which began right here in Perth and now inspires millions of people around the world to make simple, lasting changes.

The Plastic Free Pledge is an easy way to get involved. Simply choose one single use plastic item to avoid this July, such as takeaway coffee cups, plastic bags, water bottles or food wrap, and make the switch to a reusable alternative.

By taking the pledge, you are:

  • Taking a practical step to reduce waste in Fremantle
  • Building habits that can last beyond July
  • Joining millions of people around the world in a shared moment of action

Getting involved is easy:

  1. Make your Plastic Free Pledge
Choose one single use plastic item to avoid this July.
  2. Swap it for a reusable alternative
Bring your reusable cup to your favourite Freo café, use reusable shopping bags, or choose reusable containers at home.
  3. Keep it going throughout July
Small everyday actions can quickly become habits that help reduce waste and protect our coastline, river and public spaces.

Every pledge makes a difference. Together, our community can help create a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Fremantle.

Pledge today!
