Hidden Treasures Fremantle returns in 2026 with a renewed focus on community, taking its celebrated program to North Fremantle and Hilton.

This year, the festival brings live music to suburban bowling clubs, transforming them into multi-stage hubs featuring pop-up stages, silent discos and performances in unexpected places.

The move reflects a broader mission: to showcase the depth of live music culture across Fremantle and ensure its legacy continues to be recognised and supported.

A standout feature of Hidden Treasures is its curator-led model, with Boox Kid, Drea, Lubly Dae Crew, and Siobhan Cotchin shaping the delivery of this year’s lineup.

Among the 2026 lineup is Navisha, whose funk and soul-infused sound has been gaining national attention, alongside Persia’s emotionally rich R&B and neo-soul.

Audiences can also experience the genre-blurring energy of Symmetrical Dogs, merging punk, folk, and electronic elements, and the raw, cathartic post-punk of Grey Goo.

Experimental folk outfit Oakabella & The Maeflies deliver dynamic, boundary-pushing performances, while Coco Elise offers dreamy, jazz-tinged bedroom pop with a growing national and international profile.

On the heavier end, DETH introduces a gritty, doomy new project, while electronic artists like Onike and E-V promise high-energy, globally influenced DJ sets.

Ofa Fotu, Creative Programs Lead at the City of Fremantle, says “Live music is the heartbeat of Fremantle, and we’re committed to keeping it alive, thriving, and accessible.

“Bringing the festival to North Fremantle and Hilton is about more than just performances—it’s about community participation. Every ticket bought, every drink at the bar, every sausage sizzle supports these local venues and helps keep them alive.

“We’ve already seen how powerful that can be. When communities show up, venues grow, evolve, and create new opportunities for connection. That’s what we want for these bowling clubs—to become places people return to, not just for events, but as part of their everyday community life.”

The festival arrives at a time of renewed momentum for Fremantle’s music scene, with beloved venues like Mojo’s Bar, Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle, and Freo.Social continuing to foster a thriving live music culture, alongside a growing calendar of major music events in the area.

Hidden Treasures remains a vital platform for showcasing the next wave of talent while reinforcing Fremantle’s reputation as one of Western Australia’s most important music hubs—now extending that energy deeper into its surrounding communities.
