The City of Fremantle is aware of misinformation circulating online regarding the removal of a Norfolk pine tree at the Esplanade Reserve.

The City of Fremantle is aware of misinformation circulating online claiming that it had removed a Norfolk pine tree as part of the recent demolition of the Carriage Café on the Esplanade Reserve.

This is false.

All surrounding Norfolk pines have been retained as previously communicated.

The tree stump that is visible after the removal of the café was cut back to roof level in 2019 due to ill health. Visual reference in image above.

We would encourage anyone with questions regarding this matter to contact the City directly on 1300 693 736.
