Fremantle Community Legal Centre is commemorating White Ribbon Day 2026 with a public memorial recognising women and children who have lost their lives due to domestic and family violence.

One white rose will represent each life lost in Australia since January 2026, with a story displayed alongside each rose.

Visitors are invited to walk through the exhibition, pause, read the stories and reflect on the lives represented and the people being remembered.

This year’s theme is ‘It Takes All of Us’ and a commitment wall will be on display as a collective visual representation of all the different ways people have committed to contribute to safer relationships and communities.

The exhibition will formally open on Friday 27 November 2026 at 9.30am with guest speakers, all are welcome to attend. The public memorial will remain on display throughout the weekend for members of the public to walk through.

White Ribbon Day is a national day of awareness and action against men’s violence towards women and children.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to remember those whose lives have been lost, acknowledge the ongoing impact of family and domestic violence, and encourage conversations that help create a future free from violence.
