Looking for a space to get active, connect with others or host your next community activity? Samson Recreation Centre is a welcoming, multi-purpose venue serving Fremantle residents and surrounding communities.

Managed by the City of Fremantle, the centre provides flexible spaces for a wide range of activities, including social sport, fitness classes, community programs, workshops, meetings and special events. The facility features a large indoor multi-purpose sports hall, a meeting room and basic kitchen facilities, making it suitable for both recreational and community-based uses.

In addition to the indoor spaces, Samson Recreation Centre offers two outdoor hard-court tennis courts, complete with pickleball line markings, providing extra opportunities for recreation, social play and organised sporting activities. The courts are available for casual and regular hire and are suitable for players of all ages and skill levels.

Whether you’re running a local sporting club, facilitating a community group, hosting a class or simply looking for a place to stay active, Samson Recreation Centre offers an accessible and friendly environment where people can come together, participate and build connections.

As a community-focused venue, Samson Recreation Centre is proudly a smoke-free and alcohol-free facility.

Samson Recreation Centre Social Inclusion Program

Looking for a fun, welcoming, and inclusive way to stay active and connect with others? Join our long-running Social Inclusion Program at Samson Recreation Centre.

Designed for people living with disability, this friendly weekly program offers the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports including table tennis, badminton, and basketball in a supportive and social environment. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills, stay active, or simply enjoy meeting new people, everyone is encouraged to join in at their own pace.

The program has been successfully running for over 16 years and is supervised by Peter Jokic, who is passionate about creating positive and enjoyable sporting experiences for all participants.

When: Every Wednesday, 9.00am – 11.30am (arrive at your leisure)

Where: Samson Recreation Centre, 44 McCombe Avenue, Samson

Cost: $6 per participant, per session

Support Workers: Free of charge. In line with NDIS requirements, support workers must actively participate with clients where required.

Samson Kindergarten and Outside School Hours Care

Samson Kindergarten is a privately run early learning centre located at the Samson Recreation Centre (SRC), in the annex building next to the tennis courts. While it’s based at SRC, it is not operated by the City of Fremantle.

With caring educators, plenty of play-based learning, outdoor adventures, creative activities, and opportunities to make new friends, Samson Kindergarten is a fun and welcoming place for little learners to grow, explore, and build confidence.

The centre offers long day care, kindergarten programs, and before and after school care, making it a convenient option for busy families looking for flexible, quality care in the local community.

Book a court

Front of building – go up stairs
Key box to the right of the door with instructions to open (above) mounted on wall
Facing away from the door follow the path around to back of centre
Go through the fencing (you will see tennis courts)

The keybox is located at the top of the stairs next to the front door. Open the key box with the code and follow the path around to the tennis courts. The key will open the tennis courts.

Open black cover on top lock box.
Place palm on the screen to activate numbers.
Enter code you have received via email and SMS 15 minutes prior to booking.
Input the code and select the ‘tick’ to confirm code.
Lock box will unlock and you can remove the key.
Close the lock box

Please ensure key is replaced back in the keybox at the end of your session and ensure all gates are locked and lights turned off.

Should you have any issues with accessing the lock box, please call Fremantle Leisure Centre on 9432 9999 during operational hours.
