Register

This 6-week course will take you through some of the key elements of a compelling, interesting story – including building character arcs, identifying internal and external plots, and crafting a satisfying resolution.

While the course focuses on how these apply to memoir, it will be useful to anyone interested in writing. Each week includes time to work on your own writing.

About your facilitator – Jay Martin

Jay started freelance writing when her husband’s job took her to Poland – an experience that became her first book, Vodka and Apple Juice. Her second book, Boom Town Snap, is set between Canada and the Pilbara. Her work has appeared in a number of European and Australian magazines, and she has been a panelist and presenter at writers festivals and events in Australia and Canada. She teaches creative writing around WA.
