Volunteer as a friendly face for visitors—sharing local knowledge and helping people discover the best of Fremantle through the Fremantle Visitor Centre.

Community gardens are shared spaces where people grow produce, learn gardening skills, and connect with others. They can be located on private land, leased land, or land held by the City of Fremantle.
If you’re interested in starting a community garden, learning more, or applying to use City-held land, you can find guidance and application forms on the Community Gardens page.
Existing gardens also welcome volunteers — a great way to get involved, meet people, and contribute to local sustainability projects.
Friends groups help care for parks, bushland and natural spaces through activities such as planting, weeding and habitat restoration.
