Fremantle Library memberships

Full Library Membership

Visit us in person with your identification to borrow from our physical collection. We will verify your details and issue a Library card.

Identifications we accept:

• Current Western Australian Drivers Licence OR
• With photo ID: a physical or digital bill, bank statement, rates notice, or rental agreement less than six weeks old, showing the patron’s current home address OR
• Without photo ID: a current, signed Health Care Card and a physical or digital bill, bank statement, rates notice, or rental agreement less than six weeks old, showing the patron’s current home address

Temporary Library Membership

Temporary membership can be taken out by any visitor who will be staying in WA for a minimum of 3 weeks. Temporary memberships are valid for 1 year.

To become a temporary member, join online and visit the library in person with the following identification:

• Passport or official photo ID card from your home state/country
• A current, signed Health Care Card
• Other ID at the discretion of Library Management

Temporary library members can borrow the following:

• Up to 2 physical items
• Access to all digital resources

Temporary Members are not able to use the gaming equipment.
