The City of Fremantle is calling for nominations to join its successful Destination Marketing Working Group.

The City of Fremantle is calling for nominations to join its successful Destination Marketing Working Group which was established in 2018. The working group has been instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of Fremantle’s tourism and visitor economy, driving initiatives that support retail, hospitality, accommodation, and tourism attractions.

The working group includes a mix of marketing experts, local business representatives, and key stakeholders. Together, they provide valuable guidance on brand and marketing initiatives, events and activations, strategic partnerships and advocacy. The City is seeking two dynamic individuals to contribute their expertise and insights as part of the team.

While guiding the implementation of the 2023-2027 Destination Development Strategic Plan, the working group will also shape a forward-looking vision to strengthen Fremantle’s reputation as a vibrant, world-class destination known for shopping, arts and culture, heritage architecture, live music, dining, and entertainment. In addition, the group will focus on fostering strong partnerships with local businesses and organisations.

To apply simply submit a short summary of relevant experience demonstrating your suitability for the role along with a CV/Resume via email to marketing@fremantle.wa.gov.au

All applications must be submitted by 5pm AWST Friday, 6 December. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

Working Group members hold a term of two years or until the next ordinary election of council.
