Small businesses and entrepreneurs are being invited to activate Fremantle’s popular coastal locations this summer.

Expressions of Interest open tomorrow, and the City of Fremantle will be awarding six-month summer trading permits for leisure and tourism-focused ventures that are aligned with the seasonal trading guiding principles.

The City is seeking new seasonal attractions across locations including South Beach, Bathers Beach, Port Beach and near the WA Shipwrecks Museum.

The new ventures must meet certain criteria including being environmentally sustainable, complementing Fremantle’s character, filling a gap in the market and not competing with surrounding established businesses.

Summer trading dates are 1 November 2025 to 30 April 2026.

Expressions of Interest close on 1 September 2025.
