Local families, children and community members came together at Fremantle PCYC to celebrate 50 years of the Freo Toy Library and Fremantle PCYC. The anniversary celebration brought people together for a day of fun, play and connection, recognising two organisations that have been part of local family life for five decades. Community organisations, stallholders, volunteers and City teams helped make the day possible, giving families the chance to enjoy time together and connect with others in their community. The milestone was also an opportunity to recognise the people behind both organisations. From those who helped establish them to the volunteers, staff, members and families involved today, generations of local people have contributed to their enduring place in Fremantle. For the Freo Toy Library, the celebration recognised 50 years of sharing toys and encouraging play. For Fremantle PCYC, it marked five decades of bringing people together through activities and community connection. The City thanks everyone who attended, everyone who helped organise and deliver the celebration, and all those who have supported the Fremantle Toy Library and Fremantle PCYC over the past 50 years. Here’s to many more years of play, connection and community. Find out more about FreoToy Library
